Hi, I’m Lin
This website is a fun project I work on when I have nothing better to do. I like learning through making things instead of doomscrolling, so I keep coming back here and changing stuff again.
I’ve redesigned this site a lot already, so the inspiration changed over time too, but I always end up coming back to magazines, especially fashion magazines.
why fatcats
The Domain
I got the fatcats domain because for around three years I’ve been drawing fat cats of people in my life: coworkers, friends, family, and whoever else exists near me long enough.
I also made comics, and that pushed me toward wanting a website for all my fat cats.
internet thoughts
Online but Private
My favorite part of the internet is the freedom and creativity it gives. I love how easy it is to find almost anything online, even though it is also scary that the internet never forgets anything.
Because of that, I prefer staying private myself while still enjoying browsing and creating online.

Why They Matter
Cats mean a lot to me. I think they’re visually beautiful. Their patterns feel like art, and the way they evolved to survive and hide in the wild feels beautiful too.
Cats have inspired art for a very long time. People have loved them, drawn them, admired them, and even worshipped them for centuries.
They make me happy and motivate me, and I never really get tired of looking at them.

Still Learning
I’ve been drawing for years, and I’m especially interested in digital drawing, which I’m currently learning more seriously. In the future I’d also like to explore making something like a dress-up game.
